OTSN Chicago Toy Soldier Show
Sunday, September 25, 2011
The Hyatt Regency Woodfield
Schaumburg, IL (Chicago Metro)
If you've never been to the Granddaddy of toy soldier shows, it's well worth the trip. Last year there were over 350 tables displaying all the best from the biggest names in the hobby, and as always: great deals and hidden gems. Room trading begins the Wednesday or Thursday prior to the show. We'll post our room and table numbers as we have them.
Go to toysoldiershow.com for more information.
12 Annual Cantigny Toy Soldier Show
Date: TBD (November, 2011)
Cantigny Park Visitors Center
Wheaton, IL (Chicago Metro)
9 am – 4 pm
This is a great little show at a spectacular venue. Cantigny Park is home to the world class First Division Museum, with more exhibits on military history, the American soldier, and our great world conflicts than we can possibly name here. Be sure and check out their historic military vehicle collection (with a newly added LCVP landing craft). Then stop into the show pick them up in 1:32 scale. I don't have a full vendor list, but last year there was plenty of King & Country, John Jenkins, and W. Britains metal figures, as well as plastic, and of course, yours truly.
Admission is $5 per car (fill your car) and covers entrance to both the show and museum. For more information, call show organizer Nick Albanese at (920) 261-1323 or email at camprandall@charter.net
